Hi, I need save on electricity and I like to know how can I disconnect the day night sensor
Hi Carlos, we would recommend that you contact a qualified electrician to disconnect the day night switch. For safety purposes switch off the main electricity supply. Open the the day night switch cover. Remove the live wire from the terminal marked LI. Then remove the live wire from the terminal marked LO. Safely connect these two wires together and insulate them with insulation tape. Doing this will bypass the day night switch and your lights will now be directly controlled by the light switch only. If in future you want to reconnect the day night switch reverse the order and it will function as normal.

Hi Khulebuse, a typical day night switch like the Luna www.livecopper.co.za/products/matelec-day-night-switch-slimline-red-lr5-12v-dc?_pos=1&_sid=a5b4428cd&_ss=r is rated at 15Amps. If you are switching 10 watt LED light bulbs, as many as twenty. If you are switching old style light bulbs keep to no more then five. Hope this helps.
Does it not work with a lamp?

Eric, the surge unit is located inside the body of the unit itself. It is placed internally in-between the cable entry point and the first plug socket.

any chance you can tell me which screwdriver you need to disassemble the unit. (i need to run a cable directly into it). some plug points these days have a really foreign looking screw (not a philips, flat, hex, star or square), which looks like a double notched spherical head.
Hi Eric, unfortunately the use of a non-standard screw is intentional as the manufacturer is concerned with after market modifications from a safety point of view. There are similar units on the market that have a 5m cable attached at manufacture. Is that an option for you? I respect that you might have the cable already and wish to modify it. Regrettably that's proving to be difficult.
@@LivecopperCoZa yeah, one of my thoughts was the screws are meant to be 'unscrewable'. although that doesn't really stop me, i just cut them out, but it makes a mess of the chassis. pity. i told the client we'll rather go for a single termination socket on the cable, and then the multi-plug just plugs in there. I just like to avoid unncessary 'connection points'. I appreciate the feedback.

Worst customer service ever. Meter broke and took almost two weeks and a call to management just to get them out. We had to bypass or we wouldn't have had water. Company is a joke.
Hi Guys, Please advise on why the Sensor comes with an installed loop between the Neutral and the Load? In other words, we would actually only have a single Live-in and a Single neutral-in, wired-in a series from the power and taking a return from the light. How can I post my wiring diagram to indicate if I understand it correctly?

Is there a problem if you wire two 10amp led lights to one 10amp day night switch? I did the wiring and it worked for 4 days switching the lights on and off then it stopped working.

About to install mine. I do appreciate the rock music playing as the masonry drill does its thing. This should be a feature on those drills.
My day night switch is not switching off during the day. I was working perfectly fine until power cut.
The light works excellent. I am very disappointed though that 4 of my lights have stopped working. On charge the red light blinks normal, but the light is also on during the sunlight, and obviously can't keep the charge because the switch does not put the light off. Can anyone help ?

How do you replace the centre lightbulb? Do I need to remove the top cover first?
The centre lightbulb has an E27 Edison screw base so you should be able to unscrew it without removing the cover. If that is difficult then perhaps remove the cover but it should not be necessary. Let us know how it went.
@@alfallingham7743 thank you. I was able to unscrew the lightbulb easily and change it as you described. No need to remove the cover. I feel silly now with how easy the process was 🤣🤣

Something is wrong on the sound settings...
I was also waiting for the update on how to install. I have bought one of the units you showed (Major DNS25) and wanted to replace my existing day/night switch but do not know where to connect the white, red and blue wires which come out the wall (the other wires evidently have already being connected together somewhere in the roof/walls) to the L (Live) N (Neutral) and A(?) on the unit. Can you please give an update? Regards

My daynight switch is not working properly... It blinks after every 30 sec...and i checked the voltage, the voltage is 228V. I am running 3 lights with one day night switch... Can you give me any solution please?
